Senior Data Science Engineer
This role is ideal for a seasoned data science professional with a strong technical foundation, proven experience supporting government clients, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders. The position requires working onsite and collaborating closely with engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to drive data-driven strategies and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Data Engineering & Modeling: Design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines and predictive models using advanced machine learning techniques.
- Government-Focused Solutions: Leverage experience working with federal or defense agencies to ensure compliance, security, and mission alignment.
- Executive Communication: Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Onsite Collaboration: Work onsite with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and customer needs.
- Data Strategy: Lead the development of data strategies that align with organizational objectives and drive measurable impact.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and engineers.
- Continuous Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our solutions cutting-edge.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 6+ years in data science roles, with at least 2 years supporting government or defense-related projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert in Python and R, with deep knowledge of libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Proficient in SQL and experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong background in big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.
- Skilled in deploying models into production environments.
- Security & Compliance: Familiarity with government data standards, FedRAMP, and secure data handling practices.
- Visualization & Reporting: Advanced skills in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or custom dashboards for executive-level reporting.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong executive presence and communication skills.
- Ability to lead discussions with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Current Federal Security Clearance at time of interview (required)
- Must be available to work onsite, Monday - Friday
