CloudFit Software is seeking DevSecOps Engineers to design, deploy, and operate customer solutions while enhancing the quality, performance, and reliability of our Managed Applications and Services. Our engineers ensure accountability of production services and facilitate the operation of modern applications and services in the cloud. Responsibilities 

  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions with a focus on customer experience, reliability, operability and scalability. 
  • Take accountability for technical implementations, modernizing and improving capabilities to meet customer needs. 
  • Own and manage product features from backlog through support, applying engineering best practices across the project lifecycle. 
  • Apply and establish best practices for software usage, system administration, design, security, and network management. 
  • Write clean, maintainable documentation, code, or scripts that emphasize quality and simplicity. 
  • Ensure the production health of managed services and applications, responding to escalations and driving repairs to prevent future issues. 
  • Promote and implement automation by quickly adapting to new technologies and methods and working to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency. 
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with project team members to deliver high-quality solutions from concept to production. 
  • Engage actively in company culture through participation in regular meetings, customer reviews, team events, and mentoring peers. 
  • Support customers via on-call rotations for production workloads when required. 
  • Travel as required to support customers.  
  • Must be able to report on-site in Lynchburg, VA. 

What makes you the perfect fit for this role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience in software development. 
  • 0 - 6 years of relevant experience. 
  • Understanding of Agile tools (e.g., Azure DevOps), SOLID principles, REST APIs, and server architectures. 
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). 
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins). 
  • Continued eagerness to learn and grow in areas such as Python, SIEM, Git, and system administration on both Windows and Linux. 
  • Experience with distributed systems and working with high-scale services. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and enjoyment of technological challenges. 
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth as a teammate and an engineer. 
  • Proven individual that is willing to hustle and do the work needed for customer success. 

Some nice-to-haves (but not required): 

  • Technical certifications in CompTIA Security+, Azure, Cloud, Security, and DevOps. 
  • Active Federal Security Clearance. 

The salary range for this role is $44,000 - $100,000 + benefits, & perks.  

Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and location. Also, the range represents salary only and does not include our total rewards package.
