CloudFit Software is looking for qualified DevSecOps Service Engineers that have the experience and passion to design, deploy, and operate customer solutions. These solutions include a combination of Commercial off-the-shelf, open-source, and cloud-native technologies. The job will involve learning new technologies, interacting with client stakeholders, and designing new or retrofitting old enclaves to meet the ever-evolving needs of our customers.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in designing cloud-native solutions using Azure and related technologies 
  • Support technical implementations and work on modernizing and improving capabilities to meet customer needs 
  • Contribute to product features from backlog through support, applying engineering best practices across the project lifecycle 
  • Collaborate with users, engineers, and management to turn requirements into deployable software, participating in engineering meetings 
  • Develop professional skills regularly through training and hands-on experience 
  • Help translate customer business requirements into technological solutions 
  • Maintain accountability for specific product features from requirement gathering through continued operations 
  • Participate in company culture through active involvement in regular meetings and customer reviews 
  • Apply company and industry best practices for software usage, system administration, design, security, and network management 
  • Promote automation to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency 
  • Support customers via on-call rotations for production workloads when required 
  • Adapt to customer and project needs while maintaining a culture of service and gratitude 
  • Travel to support customers in air-gapped environments  
  • Must be able to report on-site in Lynchburg, VA 

What makes you the perfect fit for this role:  

  • Basic understanding of Agile tools, cloud platforms, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Docker, Jenkins) 
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation and containerization technologies (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes) 
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in DevSecOps areas such as Python, SIEM, and system administration on Windows and Linux 

Some nice haves (but not required): 

  • Technical certifications in CompTIA Security+, Azure, Cloud, Security, and DevOps 
  • Active Federal Security Clearance 

The salary range for this role is $44,000 - $100,000 + benefits, & perks.  

Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and location. Also, the range represents salary only and does not include our total rewards package.
